I started playing guitar at an early age of 13, teaching myself advanced methods after my Dad taught me three basic chords.
I was born in Newbern, North Carolina and raised on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Shortly after graduation I joined the Armed Forces and spent six years in San Antonio, Texas before returning home to Maryland. During this time I wrote songs and performed for friends and family.
In 1976 I performed my first solo gig at the Cambridge VFW with Mr. Bud McCollister. The very next morning I incorporated other musicians and started my first Band....Crystal Blue. Our first 45 rpm and full LP of original music soon followed.
Over the next years I sang and played music with several bands earning a reputation as "The Singing Dockmaster" as I worked a full time job as a marina manager for 10 years in St. Michaels, MD.
The years that followed I performed as a solo act and as a Patsy Cline impersonator doing benefit shows to raise money for local charities and the needy. Music is my passion. My voice has a remarkable range allowing me to sing most any song from Sinatra to Lady Gaga. I can impersonate vocally Conway Twitty, Elvis, Brenda Lee, Patsy Cline, Roy Orbison, Louis Armstrong and many more. I love to entertain large crowds of various ages!
I have written numerous songs and recorded more than 15 music compilations to include covers and self written songs on 45 rpm, 33 rpm albums, cassettes, 8-tracks and cd's.
I find inspiration for my music in life and all that it has given to me. God has been good to me and mine. I write and sing from my heart. It's not about singing notes, it's telling a story with music.
I write about the good , the bad , and the love I have known.
I pray I can leave a legacy for those who knew me and for those who hear my music long after I have left this body.
